Junior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

The role

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Generate heat load reports using heat load analysis software, and verify accuracy of the resulting calculations against relevant codes and standards - Design HVAC+R systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications; including but not limited to, mini-split systems, VRF systems, commercial ducted split and packaged systems, and chilled water systems - Generate concept and construction drawings of designed systems, inclusive of required drawing and equipment documentation - Request, collect, and review competitive quotes and bids as it relates to the project at hand - Organize and manage documents and file structure for projects - Participate in the supervision and project management during implementation stages of projects QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS - Minimum BSc in Mechanical Engineering, or adequate alternate certification with proof of real-world experience and application - Proficiency in standard software required, at minimum AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) - The ability to learn and become proficient in other software used that will be provided - The ability work with site supervisors, installers, and other site engineering personnel in the management and documentation of installations and implementation of projects - The ability to work together with the engineering team in carrying out all tasks and responsibilities; but also, able to do so independently when needed without the direct involvement of the full team - Must be willing to work off island when required (work on remote sites as needed, not for extended relocation) - A valid drivers license is required
